This beautiful young lady was sweeping up leaves on a footpath at the side of her house as I walked past, on my way to the beach. The laticework of shadows creates dazzling patterns of light and shade. A quick phone pic captured the action so I could work from that over the next few days. Her dress was actually a dull greeny brown colour, but she definitely deserved a red dress!
The village is called Μακύνεια (Makyneia) and is situated in the West of Greece near Ναυπάκτος (Nafpaktos), but these sort of scenes happen all over Greece, though it’s usually an old lady in black that captures my attention!
