Oil painting by Ask. 70x50cm oil on canvas October 2026
It was a sunny day, so I stood outside painting. A kind neighbour brought me two chairs – one for my paints, and one fir me to rest on from time to time. The scene is above the Greek village of Agrilitsa, a tiny village near Άργος (Argos) in the Peloponnese. I loved the way the light bounced off the leave of the olive trees in the foreground, and the rhythmic pattern of the trees planted in rows in the background, plus the string green of the grass, revitalised after the long hot summer.
